This week, Primary 5 to 7 have been learning strategies for dividing, applying their knowledge of their tables.We have also been using our numeracy and IT skills within our topic work, Our World, where we learned how to create a bar graph using Google Sheets to record the effect of adding salt and ice to water.
In our literacy work, we have been looking at the genre of science fiction and reading short texts about climate change. We investigated the ‘Great Pacific Garbage Patch’ and microplastics in our oceans.
As part of our topic and science work, we have examined the water cycle and we created an experiment to observe evaporation, condensation and precipitation. You can see our experiment in the photos.We also listened to a catchy tune which helped to reinforce this concept.
